Children’s Ministry Workers
Showing children the way to know God’s love, and guiding them to love others, is the central task of our workers in our Children’s Ministry program. Our childcare surrounds young children with safety; we offer a Sunday School for children as young as 2 years old. By the time a child is 7, we hope he or she has listened to five years of Bible stories and learned many ways to help make the world a better place.
Child Care
Child care providers offer a doubled gift to our congregations when they serve in the nursery and toddler room. They gift our youngest children with a loving and safe first experience of church life and their parents with the opportunity to participate fully in the life of our church knowing their children safe and happy.
Your commitment: Sunday mornings on a rotating schedule, or an occasional weekday or evening during the year. Connect with Keranie
Sunday School
Join a team that offers children ways to deepen their faith, have fun and make friends. Each class is led by a team of teachers working together. Supplies and curriculum are supplied.
Your commitment: Sunday mornings during the education hour (9:45 .m.-10:45 a.m.) during the school year and prep time as needed. The team approach allows teachers to miss a week when necessary. Connect with Sue.
Celebration Too!
Celebration Too! is a broadly aged alternative to the adult celebration service. Children age 4 to Fifth Grade leave the 10:45 a.m. Traditional Celebration and participate in hands-on learning. Curriculum and supplies are provided.
Your commitment: One Sunday a month throughout the year. The Celebration Too! time is 10:45 am to 11:45 am. Some prep work is required. Connect with Sue.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is a wonderful week at Wesley Church. About 100 children gather for a week in July, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. On the following Sunday, they sing for the congregation. Adults and youth (Sixth Grade and up) are invited to join the fun.
Your commitment: five weekday mornings plus meetings and prep time. Various positions are available. Connect with Sue.
