We offer a Service of Seven Prayers on Saturday evenings at 5:00 p.m. as a prelude to Sunday morning celebration. We make a sacrifice of our prayers and we sing hymns in a forty-five minute experience that offers time for reflection, meditation, and intercession.
Service of Seven Prayers
A Service of Seven Prayers is held on Saturday evenings from 5:00-5:45 p.m. from September through May. The service is a meditative style of praying, singing, listening, and reflecting on the adoration of God, the confession of sin, the intercessions we make on behalf of others, the petitions we make on behalf of ourselves, the thanksgiving that God deserves, and the consecration of our lives to God. A creative use of slide projection, contemporary and traditional music on organ and piano, and vocal and instrumental soloists enhances the experience and makes it accessible to all, whether praying is natural or cumbersome for you.
